A Little About Us
We started Stable Life because we have a family member with special needs. We love him dearly but over time the stress without breaks for caring for him would build up and take a toll on our wellbeing. Respite hours have greatly impacted our family’s ability to care for our family member.
In the past, we have worked with many agencies but quickly realized shortcomings they have in finding and keeping quality people willing to provide help. The main issue that kept us losing great talent was the pay rate offered. Stable Life strives to solve this and many other shortcomings ourselves and others have dealt with.
Our founders have years of experience working with special needs individuals and have successfully started and run another special needs non-profit which is still thriving to this day.
About Our Non-Profit
Stable Life Services, founded in 2018, is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization dedicated to supporting families/caregivers and individuals with special needs. We are located in Santa Cruz County and serve Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, Monterey, San Benito Counties, and even more! As of late 2018, we became a vendor for San Andreas Regional Center (SARC), providing in-home respite services to those families served by SARC. Our goal is to make using your respite hours as easy and stress-free as possible. We strive to pay respite workers the highest possible rate to maintain the highest possible job satisfaction.
Vision of the Future
When we have so many clients that we need a larger office space we will procure said space in a downtown area close to shopping, public transportation, parks, beaches, and eateries. This space will be used as a hub to enable clients to have a base camp for their endeavors into the community and also provide space to offer classes in art, cooking, music, etc. This space can also provide opportunities to investigate and launch various mini-business ideas - create greeting cards, selling on Ebay, scanning photos, etc. Clients’ with in-home respite can be supported going to their normal out-of-home activities - provided by this office. SLS will expand further to become a supported living services vendor which will provide living options to its’ client base. The community will be invited to be involved and become an integral part of the operation.
